Al-Mamoun University Hosts Workshop and Scientific Seminar on Breast Cancer Awareness

Under the patronage of Al-Mamoun University President, Prof. Samir Dawood Salman, the University organized a specialized workshop and scientific seminar titled: "Breast Cancer Awareness: Early Detection and Preventive Measures."

The event, held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, was organized in collaboration with the College of Administration and Economics and the Baghdad Organization for Women and Child Care.

The seminar featured a panel of specialized female physicians who delivered educational sessions aimed at raising women's awareness regarding early detection mechanisms. They provided critical guidance on preventive measures designed to mitigate the risks associated with the disease.

Key discussions highlighted the pivotal role of health education in reducing incidence rates and the strong correlation between early screening and higher recovery chances. Speakers also advocated for adopting healthy lifestyles and adhering to regular medical check-ups. The event witnessed high engagement from attendees, successfully achieving its educational objectives by reinforcing a culture of preventive health and supporting community efforts to combat the disease.
