The vision of International Relations and Diplomacy lies in building a humanitarian project based on the re-embracing of high ethics and scientific creativity in diplomatic and political work, with global representation that contributes to building a global knowledge civilization. The vision also embodies the reformulation of the cognitive and academic reality of international relations and diplomacy on scientific foundations based on applied scientific research, logical deduction, and brilliant strategic diplomatic thinking, as well as the development of charismatic diplomatic figures capable of harnessing the most advanced types of information systems for the benefit of influence, innovation, and creativity.
Goals
Advancing international relations and diplomacy as a profession and a science. The required objectives must be achieved according to the following:
1. Develop a curriculum that is in harmony with the regional environment and the needs of the labor market, and interact with relevant courses that shape and preserve the student's identity and serve the local community.
2. Provide our students with a scientific reserve of knowledge, science, and skills that will help them meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and seize its opportunities.
3- Providing the community with specialized personnel in the field of international relations, particularly in the field of diplomatic and consular work, working with international organizations, media institutions, research centers, and private companies and institutions.
4- Working to develop the international space and elevate it to a distinguished position in the field of international relations and diplomacy in Iraq, and activating students' knowledge and skills.
5- Developing a culture of scientific research in the field of international relations and diplomacy.
6- Enhancing academic cooperation with local, Arab, and international faculties and departments of international relations and diplomacy by concluding agreements that include student and faculty exchange programs, and holding joint academic events to connect students with the latest developments in the field of international relations.
