Qualifying distinguished and innovative competencies scientifically, skillfully and behaviorally in the field of medical equipment technology and keeping pace with corresponding departments in reputable international universities by providing community services by offering the latest study programs to create an advanced academic environment.

Program Objectives
1. - Graduating an engineering cadre who possesses scientific and practical skills in diagnosing and repairing malfunctions resulting in medical devices.2. -Preparing competent engineers who have the ability to keep pace with the rapid development in the field of medical devices and providing them with the necessary skills to develop and modernize medical devices.3. - Installing and operating various electronic and electromechanical medical devices, both diagnostic and therapeutic.4- Contributing and supervising the maintenance, maintenance and calibration of various medical devices.5. - Design, development, and trying to find alternatives to some parts related to medical devices.6. -Scheduling and programming periodic maintenance work.7. -Working to enhance performance standards, including the application of international standards in the field of technical education.8. -Keeping pace with developments in the curriculum9- Strengthening the links between the department and various segments of society-10. Openness and communication with corresponding scientific institutions inside and outside the country.- Promoting community service initiatives and encouraging collective volunteer work- Refine and develop students’ extracurricular talents
Admission requirements
Admission for 2026–2027 is centralised through the Qaddim platform of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- Eligible applicants: graduates of secondary school in the biological, applied and scientific streams, and graduates of industrial vocational schools in the corresponding specialisations listed in the guide.
- Minimum average to apply: 62.5% for morning study, 59.5% for evening study; for graduates of vocational schools in the corresponding specialisations, 64.5% for morning study and 61.5% for evening study.
- Places are allocated competitively by average, order of preference and capacity.
- Applicants for morning study must have been born in 1996 or later.
- A medical examination meeting the requirements of the programme.
Annual tuition for 2026–2027: IQD 2,500,000,. Discounts are explained under “Fees and scholarships” on the admissions page.
